3DRev's Iron Man Suit project
« on: June 24, 2018, 10:43:48 PM »
As it's going to be a long time before it's complete, I thought I'd keep a running thread of my progress as I build a full size, wearable, motorised Iron Man MK 45 suit.

Many of you will have seen my MK3 helmet which I've already printed
.
I've uploaded a full build log of it here which is well worth a look for a better insight into the printing and construction of the helmet.

I am now in the process of printing the left half of the chest piece and will keep you posted with future updates:

Popped in a few times and had a look its looking good  ~~ thats a long print do you leave the hot bed on all the time or turn it off once you get to a certain height ?

All good so far. A few minor imperfections on the part but nothing that will come through after the post processing is done.
Yeah I leave the hot-bed on the whole way through, especially on these particularly thin tall prints. I've got my printers pretty well setup so when the bed cools down to room temperature, the parts often just pop off at their own accord.
