tip:-

SS nozzles are more resilient to abrasion than the standard brass so cope better with filaments such as wood, petg and lumo but bare in mind that if you change out there will be a slight variance in nozzle temp (you'll probably need to up temps 5-10c) due to the fact that SS conducts heat alot less efficiently than brass.

Well, I'm supposed to be receiving the i3 Mk3 kit today.

I say supposed as UPS are being their normal totally unhelpful selves and their website at 12:10 is saying its still at the Depot.

Their std policy is that you cannot change delivery in any way until they have made one attempt.  Unless that is you join their "My Choice" process, but they don't tell you that only comes into effect from YOUR NEXT ORDER. Their 24 Hr response system took over 48 hrs to tell me that.

And they cannot say when it might arrive.

I won't go into the many other faults in their website, but I for one will now only be buying from suppliers who do NOT use them.

And its still saying its in the depot at 15:20   :banghead:   -  although its now standing on my model room floor!  ::)

Have to say packaging (it's the kit, in all black) is impressive, as is the full colour many pictured build manual and other documentation.

Shame the timing sucks to build it. Never mind, having waited from 28th March to 25th May, what's another week or so?   :frantic:

Yesterday................

Some A4 sized magnetic sheets - smallest size I could quickly find that would cover 100x100 unjoined

A 100x100x1.2 and a 100x100x0.9 stainless steel plate for the replacement magnetic bed I am going to fit to my Fabrikator II Mini.

did you go with a 100x100 silicone pad?

the ones Ive got from banggood have been brilliant so far (200xx200 on my Poltur and on my Geeetech)

the original heatbed will work obviously but silicone's just smash everything in terms of heat up time and stable temp's

Cheers, that's really annoying though as I'd searched BG on various combinations inc silicone, silicone heater, heat pad,  heat, etc,etc and on sizes, but why OH why did they use 100*100 when even in the same listing they use 100x100.

Yes, I'll wait!

MORE colours of PLA filament, a decent opaque mid blue (finally, third try!), and some white (again a decent pigmented opaque white, not the only too common wishy washy carp)

Two reels of flexible to try out, black and flesh.

And some PLA metallic gold. Not sure about this one, its not the colouration of the advert and so looks disappointingly dull (Maybe better in bright light, only seen it so far in artificial). Also have to see what it looks like once heat cycled to a thinner cross section, looks like it might be too translucent to convince.

Oh, and some LiPo, but that's for another place!

I'd appreciate to know who's filament, specifically the green, and how it looks after printing. I bought one reel that proved to be far from opaque as sold and a very blue tint, too.
